Introduction #
Before you can retrieve video information or download media, you first need to import YouTube video URLs into YouTube Scraper.
The application provides three different ways to load URLs:
- Load from file
- Paste from clipboard
- Load from channel
All three options are accessible through the dropdown menu of the Load URLs button.
Load from File #
Select Load from file from the Load URLs dropdown menu.
A standard Windows file selection dialog opens, allowing you to select a text file (.txt) containing YouTube URLs.
File format requirements:
- The file must be in
.txtformat. - Each URL must be placed on a separate line.
- One URL per row.
Example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID_1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID_2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID_3
After selecting the file, YouTube Scraper imports the valid URLs.
Paste from Clipboard #
Select Paste from clipboard from the Load URLs dropdown menu.
YouTube Scraper examines the current Windows clipboard contents and automatically imports any valid YouTube URLs it finds.
You don’t need to save the URLs to a text file first. Simply copy the URLs to the clipboard and select this option.
Load from Channel #
Select Load from channel from the Load URLs dropdown menu.
YouTube Scraper asks you to enter either a YouTube Channel ID or a Channel URL.
After confirming the channel information, the application retrieves all available video URLs from that channel and imports them into the application.
This is particularly useful when you want to collect videos from an entire YouTube channel without having to copy individual video URLs.
What’s Next? #
Once the URLs have been imported, you can retrieve additional information about the videos.
